Aura Group commits to Workplace Hygiene

On September 9, 2023, Aura Group employees participated in an information and awareness day on workplace hygiene.

The event, organized by the Aura Health Care Services department, took place at the company's headquarters in Bujumbura.

Participants began the day with a cleaning session of their offices and workspaces.

Next, they attended a lecture by Dr. Mikaza Chamy, head of the Aura Health Care Services department.

During the lecture, Dr. Chamy defined workplace hygiene as "the discipline that deals with the professional environment in a way that is optimum for the health and well-being of workers."

She then reviewed the responsibilities of employees and employers in terms of workplace hygiene.

Employees were made aware of the risks associated with poor workplace hygiene, such as infectious diseases, accidents, and digestive disorders.

They also learned good practices to adopt to prevent these risks, such as hand washing, wearing protective clothing, and waste management.

At the end of the lecture, participants expressed their satisfaction with the event.

They appreciated the advice of Dr. Chamy, which helped them to better understand the challenges of workplace hygiene.
